Web pages load very slowly:

My downloading speed tests are good but when I'm surfing, my computer
seems to be on dialup. I've reformatted the hard drive and that only
helped for a few days....

It's hard to reply to this because there are a million things it could
be, your hardware profile dosen't tell us much, but it could be...

1. You are running more than one software firewall
2. Even though your download bandwidth is good, if your upload bandwidth
is being maxed out, pages will come in slowly (your browser needs to
SEND info like user agent and such during the transaction), if you use a
P2P file sharing program, this could be the cause. Another cause of
upload bandwdith problems could be a worm.
3. It *could* be a virus that you keep re-installing if you happen to be
using media that you don't know the origins of (burned CDs, etc...)

These are jusr a few ideas. Are you running virus protection? Do you
have at least a software firewall?
