When I am offline (I have dial-up) this error window pops
up saying "WebPage unavaliable offline", "The webpage you
requested is currently unavaliable offline". When I close
this window, it reappears within a min or two. This
basically makes it impossible for me to work while I am
offline. Can somebody please help? My OS is windows XP
Pro and it's internet explorer 6

Increase the size of your TIF (IE Tools>Internet Options>General>Temporary
Internet Files>Settings) and/or disable the option to empty TIF when closing
an IE session and/or make the pages available for offline viewing by
right-clicking on the link in Favorites>Properties>Make this page available
offline (check).

the option to empty TIF when closing. I probaly won't be
able to R-click in favorites to make the page avaliable
off-line b/c I don't konw what page my computer is
looking for. Please help.

Tools | Internet Options | Advanced
Scroll down to Security and uncheck "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder
when browser is closed".

I don't know the solution to the "WebPage unavaliable offline" problem.

Frank,

Sounds like he is closing a popup and leaving the main window
still open (probably hidden) to propagate more?

The unavailable part would mean that the popup's contents have to be
drawn from the web; they are not cacheable.

I think that this is another case which could be answered with
your all-purpose response to malware. <g>
