After starting the World wide web services in Active
Directory in Windows 2000 server and have published a web
page to the proper address, I try to log onto that site
via my web browser. All I get is the box that asks for a
user name and a password. I can't seem to get rid of this.
Please help me!!

Hello,

What type of authentication is the web server using for the web page? Basic
or Windows Integrated? What type of client are using (Windows 98, Windows
2000, etc)?

Is the IIS server also the DC?

The iis server is also the domain controller, we are using
w2k clients and I don't know how to tell what type of
authentication the web server is using. How can I tell?

In the IIS Control Panel, choose the site, properties, then the
security tab.
