If I go to http://www.terrificmusic.com/index_long.html and then while I
have that page open, copy something to the clipboard from any window, and
then paste it to somewhere, all I get is the letter "a". I've tried this on
four different machines running Windows XP - all with the same results. Does
anyone else get this? Any ideas why?

It's because that site has copy-protection code/scripting, part of which
disables the clipboard. Try right clicking on the site. But, if you go to
"View...Source" in IE, you'll see part of the copy-protection scheme in all
the junk at the top.

Interesting? I haven't come across that before.
If I go there with sounds enabled in Clipmate, the continuous noise of
"Clipboard Data Ignored/Rejected" is enough to drive one mad.

There's all sorts of things that can be disabled w/ scripting - programs are
written for web site designers to make it easy for them:
http://www.antssoft.com/htmlprotector/help/html/script.htm --

"Disable clipboard and printscreen": You can use this option to totally
disable the clipboard as well as the ability to use Print Screen to take
screenshots of your page; the clipboard will be completely disabled for the
duration that the page is open.

All that junk at the top is scrambled scripting HTML. This guy has written
a "decoder" for all that mess, so you can see the code:
http://doug.ericson.dyns.net/htmlencoded/ Interesting to do a View...Source
on the OP's URL, then cut/copy the stuff at the top into the site just
mentioned, and click "Descramble".
