Hi, I hope all is well with you.

I have FP 2003 and on two occasions I've had a web page I made changes
automagically increase from 113KB to 2.xxMB. I checked the size of my
graphics and they all seem to be in line, usually less than 10K.

Does anyone know what could cause the web page to all of a sudden, without
any warning or indication whatsoever from automagically increasing in size?
Once this happens and after checking the graphics, I have to rebuild the page
to get it back to it's normal size.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

please provide a link to this page.
how did you get the new, larger file size? Like what metric did you use to
get that 2.xxMB figure?

I was updating the file, added a few pics and some text and when I went to
publish the site I noticed it was taking forever. After the publish finished,
I checked the size of the file to see why it took so long. In the file list
in FP it was listed as 2,xxx,xxx. I went to Internet and it took forever for
the page to display. Then I checked all the photos and found none were over
sized--I run them thru downsizer afore publishing them. When I tried to open
web page within FP I received Error Opening File. All I could do was to save
web page to my C drive from the Internet and rebuild back into FP. Once that
done, I deleted larger web page. The two pages this happened to me on are:
http://www.hilton-realty.com/surroundingarea.htm
and
http://www.hilton-realty.com/elizabethtown.htm

Thanks in advance.

W/o the JAVA your 1st page is 496.629 kB and your 2nd page is 820.647 kB
- both way to big
