My web page address bar abbreviates to a single letter after a few page
changes. I don't like this and I cannot figure out how to prevent it. Can
someone please help me out with this?

Title Bar Truncation
Title bar may contain garbage characters
Title bar truncated to 1 character.

Do you have the Google Desktop bar installed?
If so, try uninstalling/reinstalling it.
It has been reported to sometimes produce truncation of the title bar
text.

Uninstall and then reinstall both (Google Toolbar & Google Desktop Search)
If you don't have Google stuff installed, then follow this link below and
see the "Accepted Solution"

See if ToolbarCop helps. Download ToolbarCop from
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4126.html

Close all IE Windows.
Disable a third-party Browser Extension (BHOs / Toolbars) temporarily
Open IE window and browser to a site. See if the problem is resolved. If
not, repeat the above procedure and disable every extension until you
determine the culprit.

same problem...I DO NOT have google titlebar installed. HELP!

Thanks for your reply, but the link
(http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/WinXP/Q_21423139.html)
leads to a solicitation for a required 'membership fee'. Once i pay, then it
will give me a non-guaranteed solution that may or may not help me. No
thanks!

I had high hopes for ToolbarCop, but it either isn't the anwer, or, because
the directions are so scant, I'm not using this program properly.

thanks,
roundtown
