Web links not Working!

When clicking on a web page hyperlink egg timer appears but nothing happens,
if i then hit the stop button the "Action Canceled" screen appears with the
usual blurb, now here's the weird bit, hit refresh and get to the link i was
after in the first place, any ideas?

This is really p155ing me off so any help would be highly appreciated.

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS, reboot.


If you have this file and you did not create it, check for parasites as
suggested by Rob.
