I am not sure this is the forum for this question, but here goes...
I connect to the internet via a cable modem where the cable modem is
connected to a Linksys Router(BEFSR41) and my workstation, as well as
others are connected to the Linksys Router.

Anyway, I have heard that I could expose my workstation to the internet
enabling people that work with me to access the my ASP.Net pages. I do not
have a static IP address, so I am guessing that I would have to provide a
new address to these people every now and then.

Has anyone done this and could possibly give me some pointers on how I
might be able to do this?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!!!!!!!!

You can just subscribe to a dynamic DNS service that will redirect any
traffic to your domain name to whatever your current IP address is. This
way, you can register a domain name of your choosing ($20 p/yr) and
subscribe to the DNS service (as little as $20 p/yr) and bam! You've got
yourself your own web site that you host yourself.

I use TZO (www.tzo.com) for their service. It's about $59/yr per domain but
it works very slick. I currently host 3 seperate domains with no DNS issues,
and my ISP has their system to give you a new IP everytime you reconnect.

Most likely..... I dont usually mind the couple extra dollars when it's for
a product I know works, and works well. :}

I can't remember the name at this moment (DynDNS?), but I have heard just as
good reviews of products that only cost $5 a year rather than TZO's $60. As
I said, I use TZO myself (found the less expensive ones after signing up),
but it's probably worth looking into.

I've since gotten a static IP, so I'm only using TZO to act as my DNS
servers rather than set up 2 DNS servers myself.

DynDNS.com is no longer accepting customers, but DynDNS.org is.
The $5 is only for sub-domains, the full version (to have yourdomain.com)
starts at $25/yr, and doesn't have a client-software piece so you have to
adjust it yourself or use a third-party piece.

While it will save a few dollars it does look like a bit of a hassle.
