web history not being removed

Hi. I'm running windows xp special edition. I'm using mozilla firefox as
default web browser. I use CCleaner regularly to clear out history files
etc.

However, I realize that when I use google desktop to search for something
(after using CCleaner) that web page addresses etc are coming up in the
google desktop results of things that I thought were being deleted from the
system.

The google desktop doesn't give me any indication of where these things are.

My question is twofold I guess: where are these things and how do I get rid
of these things off the system?

Thanks, Lester.

What *is* Windows XP "Special Edition"?
I've heard of a lot of products in the Windows XP line - but I can say I
have not heard of this version.

Okay... v1.41.544? You must keep the version up...

Okay... As you said above - you are not using Internet Explorer. If you
are not using Internet Explorer - this pretty much falls out of the
'Microsoft software' category of issues. (Not to mention - you are using
CCleaner to do the erasure of the web history (again - in Firefox, not
Internet Explorer.)

Well - the only thing telling you that you have these entries is Google
Desktop. It could be that Google Desktop has not cleared its database.

Thanks Shenan. It was as you suggested, it was a Google desktop thing,
something I didn't even think to look at. It nearly drove me crazy.
Regards, Lester
