Hi all, hope all is wel

I need some advise on what the safest way of requesting read write updates to our LAN via our DMZ. We are looking at Web Enabling our In-house System so that our clients can view their case history on-line. We currently use Net Express 4 (Cobal) driving our in house system. The thing that worries me, there are only two ways of contacting the cobal datacentre from the DMZ, fileshare or Mapped drives. Is this safe? If not what are the alternatives.

Sorry, this ng is for Microsoft Access, the database product.
