I have successfully installed Outlook 2003 & connected to exchange.xxxx.com
(this was done on my laptop) (RPC over HTTP, new profile)

I have been trying without success to connect my desktop. I created a clean
new profile in accordance with instructions.

I have removed Franklin Covey Planning Software, AT&T Office Connection &
AT&T MMode synch software.

I have Active Synch (3.7) (not in use when attempted connection) & Norton
Internet Security (I tried to connect with it disabled).

Outlook starts, the splash screen (connecting to exchange.eoutlook.com)
asking for my sign in appears, I sign in as "username" & password (works on
laptop)

At his point the application hangs, Outlook still works fine with the
Internet Profile.

What should I do next?

Thanks in advance.........

Try connecting to the secure server using OWA - are you asked to accept
a cert? Does outlook work after you accept it?

I have no problem connectin via OWA. It does not ask to accept a "cert".

Have tried several times to connect, including after connecting via OWA.

Is rpc over http set to use a secure connection? Hold control and click
the tray icon - choose connection status and you can see what it's trying
to do and if it connects to anything. Also, have you checked the RPC/HTTP
FAQ at http://www.exchangefaq.org/faq/Exchange-2003/Outlook-2003/sectionID/1040?

Yes, the setup is the same on my laptop & desktop, laptop works, desktop
does not.

Checked the FAQ, there is a patch required that has been installed & checked
again (q331320)

So, what can I try next??
