Web Cam

Whenever I try to use my Web Cam that is built into my HP Laptop dv6500 it
says that it is being used by another application but I cant figure out what
it would be. Is there a way to see? What should I do?

HP has a needed firmware update for those webcams on their support site.

This fixed it for me, even though it is says it is for a Sony web cam:

You need to request the patch from Microsoft from the link provided.
