I am using a logitech quickcam on a dell computer with windows XP. I am a
performer for a website and no-one can view my cam for some reason.
Apparently it could be a firewall which says its turned off when I check.
Other than that I am told it could be a router which I dont believe I have.
If anyone knows anything about this sorta thing please help I am totally lost.

Ivy,

When using your web cam is the green light on the top of the camera On?

If you have Windows messenger or MSN messeneger click on the Tools option
and then select Audio and video settings. Go throught he wizard to make sure
that 'you' can actually see yourself. If you can you know the camera is
working.

If the firewall is turned off that cannot be blocking the port. Although
maybe something else is. Any Norton software, for example? As for a router,
you would know yourself if you had a router.

You say no one can view your cam. Has anyone said what they can actually
see? For example is the screen totally black?
