* Wanna do a google search? Simply type it into the addressbar!!!

* Simply drag on a link to open it in a new tab

* Keyword shortcuts. I've set up "g ..." to do a google search, "gg
...." to do a google-groups search, "d ..." to search Webster's
dictionary, and "t ..." to search Webster's thesaurus.

* To close all tabs other than the current one, simply right-drag down
then left

* Drag on text that begins with "http://..." to open it in a new tab

* Drag on text that doesn't begin with "http://..." to do a google
search on it

* I really want to like Mozilla/Phoenix, but they're sluggish on my
P166 (192MB RAM) :-( [20% slower to load webpages] MyIE2 at least
gives me a very responsive tabbed browser.

Have you updated to the newest (todays version) of MyIE2? It corrects
the flaw in Google toolbar:

There are so many good choices for tabbed browsers today. I have looked at
MyIE2, Avant, SlimBrowser and GreenBrowser. They are all very similar and
each has some features that the other doesn't. I am currently using Avant
primarily because it's a little more customizable with respect to the user
interface.

So have I. Personnaly I will stick to Crazy Browser for some more time.
It's much more stable than any other tested tabber browser.
Some drawbacks though :
- development has been apparently ceased,
- no googlebar support.

I like blocking of popups, advertisements, spam to see informations and
incrementel search for fast finding/navigating.

What I'm using for popup/ad/banner filtering is Proxomitron (on the
Pricelessware list). So effective it's scary. In place of ads you see
"[Ad]" in tiny letters (which you can click on if you really want to
see it).

How do you do incremental searching?

incremental searching for links: just start typing
incremental searching for text: type slash (/) and then start typing
in both cases the cursor goes to the first appearance of the
combination you typed. in most cases 3 characters are sufficient.
if the cursor is on a link, you can use <enter> to click it (or <ctrl
enter> to open a new tab).

You should give Mozilla Firebird a try. To see what it has, go here:
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firebird/why/

It's an excellent browser and not just a "skin" or "overlay" for IE.

No need to dump IE if you just want to try it. Give it a shot and
report back if you're interested.

Well, you can't dump IE.

YOU need to give MyIE2 a try. I've given them all a try, and it's far easier
to use and has better features than any of them. Unlike Firebird, it handles
all pages without giving itself a wedgie.
