Is it possible that when I click another link/fav that an addtional IE will
open, therefore leaving my existing page alone. (as if I cant cram enough
multitasking in my life). I cant remember where there is a chk off box for
that...

You can right-click the link, and choose 'Open in New Window' to accomplish
this.

To open a link in a web page in a new window, right-click on the link and
select Open in New Window. Unfortunately, this option is not available when
opening Favorites. However, you can always open the same web page in a new
window (Ctrl+N) and then use the Favorites menu in that window.

Which OS?

Using the Favorites menu in the Start menu does this for me (on XPsp2).
