Hi,

my mom needs to keep a spreadsheet updated at two locations, and since I
have a FreeBSD server at my house, static ip, etc. I figured that a web
based spread sheet would work best. It's for her church.

Does anyone know of such a tool?

Thanks,

Karen

If she uses Microsoft Office 2000+, then the web components add-on
will allow her to do exactly that once you get the form set up for
her.

I used a similar approach at a startup for a call tracking system -
created the form and stored data in an access DB - worked great, until
the parent company moved us over to SAP.

It is Office 2000. I'll check it out! Thanks.

NP.

It is not the world's easiest and thee may be other solutions out
there, but the Web Components will allow you to develop a form and use
the current spreadsheet she is using, so that if she decides to open
the spreadsheet directly in Excel then she can do so.

I checked it out, but I think it would be too complicated for her to update
the spreadsheet. I'll keep looking.

Thanks though.
