I'm using ePrompter:

ePrompter is an easy to use email notifier that automatically checks up to
sixteen password protected email accounts for AOL , AltaVista, Earthlink,
Email.com, Go.com, Hotmail, Juno, Lycos, Mail.com, Mindspring, MSN,
Netscape, OneBox, POP3, Rediffmail, USA, Yahoo and hundreds of other email
domains - all at the same time.
....
ePrompter gives you the ability to delete unwanted spam or suspicious
looking mail - the kind that might contain viruses - without having to
launch your email program or go to your web mail's site.

download is 952 KB from CNET:

ePrompter is extremely good -- but it makes the point that it isn't a
full email client. The biggest problems are no organised method for
storing (into separate folders etc) incoming mail, and any mail you send
has a "created by ePrompter" line on the bottom plus another advert.

Another alternative is Mailwasher. It's actually a spam killer but does
the job you want very well. Problem is that the last free version to
cover webmail was v 2.0, so you need to track that down.
