[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]
Hello,
The hyperlink color (and followed hyperlink color) in PowerPoint is
controlled by the last 2 colors in the 8 color scheme for the slide you are
on. To change either of the colors you simply change the color scheme or
edit the existing color scheme for the slide.
I don't know what version of PowerPoint you are using, but the help topic
which answers your question is fairly easy to find in PowerPoint 2003.
Simply query the help for "hyperlink color" and the first topic suggested
("Change a hyperlink") contains a sub-topic "Change the color of
hyperlinks" which contains the following instructions:
1. On the Format menu, click Slide Design.
2. In the task pane, click Color Schemes, and then click Edit Color
Schemes.
3. Click the Custom tab.
4. Under Scheme colors, click Accent and hyperlink or Accent and followed
hyperlink, and then click Change Color.
5. Do one of the following:
* Click the Standard tab to select from the Standard color palette.
Click the color you want, and then click OK.
* Click the Custom tab to mix your own color. Click to select a color,
and then click OK.
6. Click Apply.
I'm curious as to whether or not the buiilt-in help topic ("Change a
hyperlink") did not provide enough information to help you understand how
to do this.
Remember that, if you are connected to the internet, you can provide
immediate feedback on many of the individual help topics in Office by
clicking either "Yes" or "No" at the bottom of the topic when it asks
whether the information was helpful.
As always, if you (or anyone else reading this message) have suggestions
for improvements to the built-in and/or online help content and/or the
interface/utility for the user assistance features in Office/PowerPoint,
don't forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft
at:
http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp
As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHYit is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.
IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
