Weather Watcher Dead

Dunno....mine seems to be working fine (Version 5.5c).

ISTR that one of the previous versions used to display the wrong day
(but the correct forecast), but that's not happened to me for some time
now.

Have you perhaps accidentally blocked it with a firewall, or
otherwise impaired its ability to connect?

If not, then maybe a reinstall is in order, before declaring it
actually dead.

Sometimes, files become corrupted and quit working.

Just a thought to help you explore all possibilities.

I'm at 5.5 and get Error Server Not Found msgs. I'm sitting on Wed
forecast.

Thanks but Kerio 2.15 hasn't changed any settings and the reinstall makes
sense. It gets to the server but the server isn't responding. Appreciate
the help. Wanted to make sure no one else was having problem.

I had the exact same problem until today. Are you using a program like The
Proxomitron? If so, disable it and see if WW connects. If that's the case, I
have the fix.

Yeah, I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, uninstalled it, installed the Beta
5.6, same problem. I've got to think it must be something on my machine.

Nope, no Proximitron or alike. Killed Kerio, no luck.

The latest from Mike Singer that should fix your problem permanently :

A new build of the Weather Watcher 5.6 Beta 3 has been released to fix the
"Server Not Found" error message that is being caused by the Internet
Explorer "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" setting. This build contains
a fix for the problem that was not allowing new Weather Watcher Beta users
to disable the wallpaper update on startup.
If you are not experiencing either of these problems, then you do not have
to install this new build.
