Meanwhile, down here, it's the middle of summer & I'm wearing 2 jerseys & trying to light a fire. It's p*ssng down outside & for the first time since the last ice age parts of NZ had a white christmas! (well, nearly, it was snowing in Marlbourough 4 days before xmas)
Oh... & don't forget the icebergs
We did actually have quite a nice summer this year.
It started on tuesday & lasted right through until friday.
mind you... I can't think of the last summer when we'd've called 15+/- Celsius a 'high'
but, we did get to go snorkelling for the first time this year.
& This last winter?
half the south island snowed in without power for weeks
Floods causing general devastation,
Coldest temperatures on record since santa was in Nappies.
This has been one wierd year weatherwise!
Sounds like just the right year to plan an outside wedding
