memememe,
System.WeakReference supports a short or long weak reference by a parameter
to the constructor. a short weak reference does not track resurrection of
the target object, a long weak reference tracks resurrection of the target
object.
There was a discussion about this in microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.clr
about September 4th 2003. If the following does not take you to the thread,
Search for a thread with a subject of "Soft and weak references".
im there with you, I have never seen anyone use phantom refs, I just wanted
to know if they are supported since I was explaining to my boss what java
has and why, and whether .net has that.
