Does anybody know what the program wdwctrl is? Its on my computer and I can't find out what it is. Possible virus? useless program taking up space? necessary program?

I've got spybot and run it frequently. Spybot does not seem to have a problem with "wdwctrl" Can I just uninstall the program, what if its a program I need, how do I find out?
