WDP Conversion

I'm trying to open a WPD File in Word all attempts have
failed any suggestions

If your Word was part of an Office installation, there is a conversion
utility available on the Office installation disk. You would need to start
the installation and choose this option. I'm not sure if Works or any other
source of Word includes the conversion utilities.
