I have tried to download Windows driver kit, but I`m not sure which one is
best for my system. I have XP Home Edition with SP2 and all current updates.
Also I was wondering if it`s free or what the price is? Anyone that can help
it will be greatly appreciated!

You want KMDF 1.1 this will contain the latest DDK (Windows Server 2003 SP1
DDK) plus the Kernel Mode Driver Framework which is the new way to write
drivers. You can download this at
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/driver/wdf/KMDF_pkg.mspx. This DDK can build
drivers for Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.
