WD/WOC

New to group & I have a question that is probably stupid.
Is there a reason to run WD & WOC at the same time?
When I set WD to run on start up and I have WOC running, WD doesn't start?

By default installing WLOC disables Windows Defender:

Un-installing WLOC will re-enable Defender unless you've removed it from
your system.
