I upgraded to this yesterday and noticed that I had ceased to get advice
notices enquiring whether to allow EntDrv51 from Network Associates. I
thought this was maybe a problem that had been solved. There is nothing in
my "Allowed items" but the action appears in the History for each time I
have logged on today. Why should this be so? I could understand it if it
were in Allowed. As far as I am aware I have not been asked to Allow since
I updated, so it can't be that the Allow command has turned into Always
Allow as some users were requesting.

In Tools, Options, scroll down to Real Time Protection options

"Choose if Windows Defender should notify you about:"
How are those boxes set?

Hello, Bill
Everything is ticked except:

Not ticked - Changes made to your computer by software that is allowed to
run

The radio button is on for Only if WD detects an action to take.

Do you think I should change anything.

However, I did get the screen asking me to allow the action this morning,
and it has gone into history.

This has reverted to normal - I had at first wondered if Network Associates
and WD had got together to sort this, and then thought it was just being
allowed to run. Never mind, it is not a big problem. It is just an
inconsistent action.
