WD Verses MS(Giant) AntiSpyware

Well, at this point I am giving up the Beta WD. Impossible to update to the
newest version (1397) from the 1051 version and have it update the
definitions. I have re-installed MS AntiSpyware and remember how the
"extras", tools were there and how useful they were. Wonder why MS elected to
take a great product (Giant AntiSpyware) update it, then kill it with
something like WD? This is really not quite ready for a public beta. Way too
many issues, errors ,inconsistancies for a product that is available
publicly. Bring back the tools that were available in the working product
please MS (and would be nice if the updates worked a bit better). Maybe by
release it will actually work in most installations. Have one that it does
work just fine,updates and all and it actually updated from 1051 to 1397 and
all defs since then have come across automatic and without issue. But more
machines that have ALL the errors/issues mentioned in these forums. Just mt
two cents MS is you are listing
 
Has there been any "official" word on why these Advanced Tools were removed
from anti-spyware, or if they are returning?
 
I agree 100%. The final version of MS antispyware worked flawlessly for me
and I would gladly "trade back". More reliable, manual update capability,
more advanced features, etc, etc. I'm not sure why MS "striped" all the
features in WD.

Where did you find the MS antispyware?.....I thought it would automatically
upgrade to WD?
 
I had it saved in a folder. Declined the offer to upgrade to the "newest
version" which is effectively WD. The sigs are still being upgraded. Bad
thing is it expires 7/31/2006
