Updated to 1404.6 without problem using the Defender own updater. First time
in many weeks. Good for you Microsoft.

With the update I now have acquired a new DLL
entitled ADVPACK Ver7.00.5335.5 (winmain(wmbla).060317-1722)
located in %SystemRoot%\WINDOWS\System32\advpack.dll.DelNodeRunDLL32
and an associated Temp entry.
What does this do for me????

Efrain - you and I are doing better this time around - my pc's are set for
automatic update and both updated 1.14.1404.6 without a problem. Isn't it
nice to be in the no problem group for a change?

Windows Defender was unable to complete the update:
0x80070643.

We had to manually delete the older definitions
in order to update to the new ones.

WD has been causing problems, and we removed
it from the machines of our colleagues.

In our opinion it is too bugy to be released
as Beta software. It is now running on a test
machine only.

Sounds like a sensible policy in a corporate environment until MS has this
issue resolved once and for all. The latest build seems to have resolved for
some but not for others. On the one hand I can understand the need for MS to
give it a good `work out` acoss a broad spectrum of users but to what expense
and frustration on the other? Guess thats why we should install beta software
with some degree of caution and not too much expectation.
