WD Keeps asking permit/deny gogl trojan

Hi,

Running XP and ie7. Everytime I hit the google shortcut on my desktop WD
asks me to take action on this trojan 'gogl' Why wont it go away. Cheers,

I'm sorry. My first answer is entirely too brief.
Windows Defender is an anti-spyware program and is not an silver bullet for
all the infections that can hit your computer.

Although I've seen better list of online scans, I didn't have the presence
of mind to save them.;-)

Thanks Bob - it was a trojan- but adaware adwatch wouldn't allow wd to delete
the registry value until I gave it permission manually. Jeff -all okay now
:)
