WD INSTALL PROBLEM. PLEASE READ.

For some odd reason my microsoft anitspyware was deleted, so i went online to
download defender because i knew that there was a new version of it, and i
downloaded it.

But when i clicked install, it said that i could not install it because the
old version of AntiSpyware microsoft was already installed. And it said to go
to add/remove programs to delete it, but it was not there! I deleted all the
former antispyware icons and went into safe mode but it still won't let me
install it.

CAN SOME ONE PLEASE HELP?
 
sorry for double posting, but i don't know how to edit posts, but the
message said [just for those who want to know] this:

Another version of this product is already installed. Instillation of this
version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this
product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel.
