Hi,

I am currently using WD-Beta2, as I was not able to use anymore Microsoft
AntiSpyware (which I really liked, especially when it came to extra options
in Tools for deleting sites and areas you have been).
My problem is following if anyone can help out. The WD detected Trojan
Spyware, but was not able to delete it. Somehow I have found a file in my
comp called UNI0062.exe (through some spyware program I found on web). I
deleted this origram manually, then I set up a comp two days back, and
suddenly there was not any more there above mentioned file. Any ITs there
with an easy answer,
Greetings
Snez

I'm afraid I'm not sure I understand what needs fixing here? Are you
getting a missing file message?
I would recommend re-scanning with Windows Defender--do a full scan, rather
than a quickscan. Sometimes partial removal of spyware can result in these
leftover messages, and a further scan will remove the linkage which is
triggering this message. If that file was spyware, and you are getting a
"not found" message--the result is harmless--although annoying.

Dear Bill,

I have done a full scan...at the end of the scan I am being asked or offered
an option to remove. when clicking on remove this file (corrupted-trojan) it
says that it cannot be deleted.
Thanks for your response

Hello snez,

Scan your computer now online and clean it for free!
You can run Ewido in safe mode with network!ng, fwiw.
http://www.ewido.net/en

Go for scans in safe mode and also add Ewido and Ccleaner as Ewido performs
great with Trojans and Ccleaner will clear your temp folders where alot of
malware hides installers

First remove all temporarily junk with CCleaner
http://www.ccleaner.com
Then try Ewido for removal:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

http://www.ccleaner.com/downloadbuilds.asp

Note, When you install Ccleaner, uncheck the Yahoo toolbar option.
Note, in Options, Settings, Advanced, uncheck - Only delete files in Windows
folders older than 48 hours.
Note: uncheck Windows Defender in the applications.

Open Ccleaner and press "Windows" "Aplications" and Run Cleaner from the
menu choose 'Issues' and then press scan for issues, Repair any fºund.
Run twice Ccleaner, the same as above, until you get “0 bytes to be removedâ€.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer. Will this Ewido get in conflict with my McAfee
Security Center?

Hi,

Do I aslo need to In Issues to preform action "Fix selected Issues" or not?
What will that do to my files and a computer as well?

Thanks one more time,
Snez

Snez,
Since you don't say what the error message number is, I'm guessing, but I
would imagine the detections are either in an archive file (zip type
compressed file) which Defender doesn't remove, since such files could
contain other wanted/needed information, or they are in a restore folder
which also isn't touched by Defender, or they are in a quarantine fºlder.
All occurrences are harmless in that state but could cause a problem if
uncompressed or restºred.

You should see what files are involved by examining the system event lºg:
Do a start, run, eventvwr.msc, **click OK**, then click ºn

**System**, then View, then Filter, and scroll down the " event sºurce"

control to reach Windefend, that will give you a view of just Windows
Defender-related events.

Look for events with yellow triªngles

Then make a decision as to either deleting/ignoring/manually cleaning them
or in the other case emptying your restore folder and creating a new restore
point as described in these fºrums.
