Is there anyway to access the old way of looking at Help rather than going
online? I type a question then I have to wait on my slow dial up connection
for answers.
Whatever happened to Contents, Index and the Answer Wizard in a Help that
isn't online?
I went to my office CD to install help files, but there aren't any I guess
as I clicked on Help in Word and the Help menu hasn't changed.

At the bottom of the help pane, set the search scope to "Offline Help"

You can tell Word not to search for help online. There's a check box
somewhere in the UI.

I'm not having any luck with a "search scope," and in User Information (UI),
all I can see in there is my name and initials. I can't seem to find any
choices for offline help. Even a search in online help doesn't tell how to
turn off online help.

Hi, Tonya,

When Suzanne mentioned UI, she meant "User Interface" -- all the
dialogs, menus, etc., not User Information.

To get to the right check box, display the Help task pane, go to the
bottom of the pane, and click "Online Content Settings". In that
dialog, uncheck "Show content and links from Microsoft Office Online".

OK, that's done, but was hoping to come up with the index - one of my
favorite help features in past versions. Type a word and possibilities list
in the dialog box below ...
