My crunching time is going to be down for a day or two folks. The fan on my CPU cooler decided to give up the ghost tonight..Cooler is only 2 months old. Need to find invoice from OCUK and see if I can return it...Fingers crossed..

False alarm.....Don't know how, but the fan power cable had become disconected. Crunching will continue almost unhindered...

Glad you got it fixed :D My sisters PC had a SATA cable come loose last week - it's an almost new PC and they'd never opened it, so no idea how it happened!

SATA cables "just fell off" is a common occurrence, but CPU fan's couplings are, or they are on my kit, made not to do that.

I'd think they are mad not to do that on all boards. All I can assume is that when I installed the new cooler and fan I obviously didn't push the connector down enough for the little click, tis a pretty tight squeeze getting hand in there. Nearly had to employ hands of me 5 year old to do it.:p and when I was fitting the removable drive bays the other day I must have caught it and loosened it...

I use a wooden chopstick to gently push home connectors in awkward places.
