Internet went down today just after I did the Stats ... so I went shopping.

Just come back now and Iternet is back up and running but all three systems can not connect to WCG ... anybody else ... or is it just me.

ah, but one is The JMW PC, not mine, I just maintain it, that is why I am annoyed ...

It may be a 'weather' thing but we don't have any overhead cables ... Southport Council insisted ALL telecoms to dig and bury cables ... so unless someone has opened a window in the exchange we don't suffer from "cable in the wind" or "having to water the telegraph pole" problems.

Just bloody annoying ... I'll shutdown & restart them all.

Well i was going to say chill out but you probably are with the snow. I know that my sisters cable broadband seems to sometimes be effected by rain or snow, may just be one of those days, sorry cant be any more helpful..

Yep ... it all died again ... looks like BT have let me down today.

I can access the net once again, but all three PCs are attempting to re-connect to WCG and all are failing ... dam, dam, dam.

I'll just have to leave them for now 'cos forcing an upload dont work either.

Ah!!!!!! now I remember I had that problem yes. So I uninstalled them both completely BIONC I mean then reinstalled them and they worked

Well, if I have to "uninstall" Boinc once more then sorry ... it can kiss my associated bum goodbye ... however, all three have connected AND reported home, so fingers crossed BT keeps me up-n-running for them to now upload to WCG.


I think the "panic" is over for now ... my KTorrant is again downloading the 2.76GB file I've been looking for, only another two days to compleation.

Answering my own question - it should be tomorrow

We are only 2,000 behind the team at 200, Arizona, and they only produce around 8,000 a day whilst we do around 40K......



Edit: I also note that I have 30 results awaiting validation - could be a bad day today if some of them don't come in.....
