So close to the 60.000 points!
Good effort from the team! :thumb:

Yep everyone is really crunching hard - getting near that 1 Million mark now - Go Team!!

Anyone else notice an old friend/teammate has just started a new team going by the name of AOA Forums? Check out Free-DC for a look.

How wrong was i about Clubic! I thought we would pass them with ease, but it looks like they gonna be givin BBT a run for their money in a few days!

Wow thats alot of points from her :thumb:

I noticed a paypal donate button there, ever thought about getting one for our team, maybe this would be a good idea, this way people could send the odd few pounds here and there?

Wow, im crunching hard :) ive just upgraded ram from 512 to 1024 so that will be a few more points :)

Ladypcer does get around a bit - she is one of many who go 'camping' at newer teams to give them a boost - it happened with BBT at the begining, which is how they got off to a flyer - if you notice things have slowed at bit more recently as the campers have moved on elsewhere. I understand we were offered such help, but we chose to do it by ourselves ;)

Yep it should increase your memory benchmark quite a bit - the maximum (300) is reached at 1.25GB RAM, you get no credit for any more;)

Can you tell me what processor your running Stuart?

Yes, we were offered 'help' ... I respectively declined.

We'll get there under our own steam, thank you very much. ;)

Good luck to LP and her team. :thumb:

 i want a better pc, or more than 1 would be nice lol
You ain't doing too bad as you are ... don't fret over a few points ... your "returned" WU may have a cure. :thumb:

What's that mean?
It means the work unit that your PC has been crunching on may have found a good match as a suitable cure :)

Ok, i'm very dense, because i still dont understand. Hopefully within a few months i'll have a another pc crunching, about the same spec as mine, but need to sort out the finance and networking :(

Try reading this page as it might help :)

http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/about_us/viewGridComputingBasics.do

Basically, each computer identifies proteins which causes diseases - once something interesting is found it is passed onto reasearchers to do tests on. So technically, it is possible that your PC helped find a specific protein which causes a certain disease, enabling a cure to be found :)

kingnathski,

Points are a bit of fun ... returned Work Units are what counts ... if they match something or other then we may have a cure for Aids

It could be your WU ;)

Adding more PCs helps too ... :D
