Looks good, Postill will probably rocket into first place after he requested a bulk mail to go round college... ;)

So look out for postill's username, if it rocket's skywards then it'll be college student's on his username :)
 
Or maybe not, Mr Postill's just been told off by the System Administrator's for trying to bulk mail the information about WCG round college ;)

I agree - I wouldn't advise installing this. It may not be dangerous, but if it were to be installed and then cause a problem, IT Services will be left to clear it up. Emailing students will only encourage them to try and install the software on campus.

I advised Chris some time ago that this is not suitable for the college environment and will not / should not be installed. I'm a little disappointed that it has been raised once more.

Sorry, I think you mis-understood me...

I meant to enlighten people about the program so that they would do it at home, by no means here as I understand this is against policy, and wouldn’t want to cause any problems...

I can re-word the email and make this clear and send this around right?

Please refer to the college Computer Usage Agreement for clarification on how we expect the email system to be used. The matter in no way relates to your studies and therefore is not appropriate for circulation on the college network.

I do not believe that any wording could ensure that students who read the email on campus will not be tempted to try downloading and installing the application - at which point it may become an issue that will cost my team (and the college) time and money to correct any potential issues that may subsequently arise.
