WCESCOMM.EXE error

When Windows 2000 starts the Microsoft Active Sync
application starts as well but give an error string
0xc0000142. I believe this caused by the application
starting during a Norton Antivirus SW starting and
triggering an error. Anyone have a clue?

try updating your version of Activesync ... the latest version
is 3.7
