Running Windows XP SP3
Over the last couple of days my Wbemcore.log has begun constantly growing
with the repeated error: "GetUserDefaultLCID failed, resorting to system
version."
I've Googled this and searched MS support. Google didn't help much and MS
simply said the error should be ignored while also saying that the problem
doesn't apply to my OS. I am on SP3 but the KB was for SP2. The KB also said
the problem would be fixed in a windows update but the KB is two years old.
I've disabled the error logging to stop the file constantly showing up on my
realtime virus checker. But rather than ignore the GetUserDefaultLCID error,
I'd like to stop it occurring. How do I do this?
I have no idea why this has started happening only two days ago; I upgraded
to SP3 months ago.
