When starting Windows XP I get a message that
iondicates "wbdual.exe has encountered a problem and needs
to close......etc." I am able to close this warning.
Then, the Windows direcory for System32 appears....which
scares me! What is up with this??? Thanks.

The only thing I could find via google about wbdual is here:
http://www.mang.canterbury.ac.nz/people/jfraffen/faqs/WBfaq.htm

According to that FAQ, wbdual is a part of "What's Best," an add in for
Excel. Do you have a spreadsheet or Excel in your Start Menu's startup
folder?

Look in the startup folder on the Start Menu, right click the various
shortcuts and look for something that refers to "wbdual.exe," if you find
something, that is likely the offending application, you can remove the
application or try reinstalling it. If you find nothing there, open Windows
Explorer, go to Tools, select Folder Options, go to the View tab, be sure
Display the contents of system folders is checked as well as "Show hidden
files and folders and that "Hide protected operating system files" is
unchecked, then do a search in Windows Explorer for wbdual.exe. You might
be able to tell from the folder location with what application it is
associated or right click the file, select properties and see if you can
determine from the properties with what it is associated.
