I have a clean install of Win2k using MSIE 6.0.2800.11061c with SP1.
On most websites where there is a "contact us" button, if they click on it,
the computer appears to freeze. But in reality, MSIE is trying to open
about 30 or so (I counted once) MSIE windows, all the same, and the last one
generally is an "error not found" page.
Another browser handles these sites just fine. One example is
www.foresters.biz.
This is the page you get after clicking on the "contact us" button at the
top: http://www.foresters.biz/common/contactus.asp
Then, there is a simple hyperlink to an email address:
(e-mail address removed) . The code on the hyperlink is this:
mailto:[email protected]?subject=Foresters Products, Services and
Benefits Inquiries
What can be wrong? I have all the patches and updates per MS update site.
Thanks.
