I downloaded a lecture into "Sound Recorder" *.wav
format.
It plays from the "Sound Recorder", but the Windows Media
Player, even though it loads it, and seems to be playing
it, produces no sound.

Also when attempting to convert the *.wav file to Muscic
CD format, so it can be played in my car, it seems to
convert and format the CD, but again there is not sound.

I found that if I drag the *.wav file the Windows Media
Player will play it. Once it starts to play, I can also
stop it, can copy it to a Music CD.
