Wav file property fields and filenames

I am ripping some of my CDs to wav files using iTunes. The filename length is
getting truncated for these files, unlike for those ripped to mp3 format.
Also, the Properties for wav files seem to be limited only to the 'General'
tab; all advanced editing functions are disabled. Can someone suggest how to
(a) retain the full name for the files, and (b) how to get the properties
tabs to be active? All help appreciated.

I posted the same question in 'Media Center" forum as well.

a) use AudioGrabber (freeware) then manually input the titles. Unless you
Google for a ripper that can read CD text (if your CD has that facility, I'm
doubtful).

b) a wav file only has a title AFAIA, unlike an mp3 tag. What exactly are
you trying to do ?

Cheers,
