.wav file issue

Greetings all: I created a small PowerPoint 2007 .pps file and in it is a
17mb .wav file. My intent is to attach the file to an email and send it to
someone. I published the .pps to a folder then sent a test email to a 3rd
party system, attaching the .pps file that then resided in the created
folder. The works fine on my system, but does not play in the test system.

I've received scores of .pps files in emails and sound plays. What am I
missing? Thank you.

By default PPT 2007 only embeds wav files that are less than 100 KB in size.
To embed your 17 mb file you will need to change the default max size.

Click on the sound file icon.

Under Sound Tools on the Options tab in the Sound Options group, increase
the maximum sound file size by entering a number in the Max Sound File Size
(KB) box up to 50 MB.

Changes made to this setting are not retroactive. Any sound files that were
linked before you increased the maximum sound file size must be deleted and
then reinserted into your presentation if you want them to be embedded.
Correspondingly, any sound files that were embedded before you reduced the
maximum sound file size must be deleted and then reinserted into your
presentation if you want them to be linked.

Hope this helps, let us know.
