Water effects in Prince of Persia show white glows?

Is anyone else having this problem? I have to turn off the white glows
to get rid of them. I am using an ATI Radeon 9800 AIW card with the
latest Cataclyst v3.10 drivers.

Thank you in advance. :)

How do I completely disable FSAA? I do not see the option in ATI's display
properties and game properties. The lowest I can use is 2X.

Set it to Application Preference and make sure you don't have it
enabled in the game.

Thanks. I will try that. I always force FSAA and Anisotropic for games.

Me too until I found out that AA was broken for Splinter Cell (lights shine
through solid objects)... and now seemingly Prince of Persia.

Why is it that these games break with AA, I wonder.

Not sure. Maybe not enough testing by ATI and game companies?

Check the "Application Preference" box next to the slider.

Thanks. I finally played more PoP game tonight.

Even if I turn off FSAA (Direct3D) and leaving water effects enabled, I
see weird effects. For example on the level, there is a fountain with
water lillies. They do not look right. And I noticed ATI acknowledge
this issue:

Playing the game Prince of Persia under Windows XP with an ATI RADEON 9500
PRO and higher series may result in the light sources occasionally
appearing through textures. This happens with Anti Aliasing enabled. This
issue is currently under investigation by ATI and the game developer to
determine the cause.

Yeah, I've seen that... I wonder if anybody has reported the Splinter Cell
issue? Seems to be the same one.

Below it says with AA on, you just said it was off... not the same issue.

The SC issue is a game engine problem, it affects any cards when using
FSAA.

Oh, I was referring to the weird water effects not the glowing white
effects in my case.
