When I am in Internet Explorer, I constantly hear a Water
Drop sound. What is causing this and how do I remove
it. I checked other sites like Google and Yahoo and
don't hear it, only when I'm in MSN.

Bruce,
Are you running PestPatrol? PestPatrol makes this sound when it allows (I
believe) a cookie. You may be able to turn it off from PestPatrol prefs or
settings. Or, one tenacious user renamed this file [C:\Program
Files\PestPatrol\CookieCrunch.wav] so that PestPatrol couldn't use it.

Hope this helps,
Don

Actually Don, PP makes that odious noise when it crunches a
(Spyware/tracking) cookie. I guess it drops it in a glass of milk. :-) A
file can be had from PP website to eliminate the wav file. But as you've
suggested, just renaming it to cookiecrunch.soggywav will work to silence
it. :-D

Silent CookieCrunch. Don't want CookiePatrol to make a sound? Retrieve this
silent replacement for CookieCrunch.wav, and extract it to your PestPatrol
directory.

LS,
Thank for the info. I wasn't going to install PestPatrol just to find out
;-)
