Just recently I just suddently noticed a bubbling sound emitted by
one of my laptop when run.. The sound is reminiscent of an acquarium
sound that is emitted by bubbles created by aeration.... or
somethinglike that....
Can anybody tell me wha the cause of this.....?
Never had this experience before.....
TIA

Do you still hear the sound when you've muted the speakers?  If no, then
something is amiss with the sound system.  If yes, then we've got a real
puzzler here.  J

I did mute the speaker once and it was still there but when I
restarted the unit, it just vanished... But the occasional problem of
this portable pc is the sudden disappearance of the
audio . Which when I restarted the sound just reappeared....meaning
during the boot up the typical winxp sounds reappear and the audio
works normally again....
I initially thought that the drivers may not be properly loaded that
is why the restart seems to cure it.. or its already obsolete.....?
Is that the likely cause.....?
I have not instal the recent update of the downloaded drivers worrying
that it might screw it, just like a a similar experience of an
acquauintance whose laptop stops functioning when all its new drivers
were updated.....
May I ask ...how important is the drivers update......and is it really
necessary or just optional?
