Watching video on Hyundai L90D+ flatscreen monitor

Hello,

I have a new Hyundai L90D+ (Imagequest) flatscreen monitor. I bought it
mainly for price and features. It is definitely good on your eyes.
However, when I try to watch a video on this screen, the characters are
all in blue color. It is like watching some aliens. :-) It does not
matter the size of the video window or full screen, the result is that
the people in the movie are blue in color.

Has anyone else experienced this with a flatscreen? How do you fix such
a problem?

Off the top of my head, have you checked the default white
point setting? Many monitors (and even many TVs these days) default
to a 9300K white point or even higher, which is a distinctly blue
white (and therefore biases everything in the image toward the
blue); 6500K is the proper setting for any standard "TV" imagery.
What do plain ol' white objects look like on this monitor?

Another possibility - what video source are you talking about?
If the video is coming in via a tuner card or other such "TV"
sort of source (including playing a DVD via the PC) you may
have a "tint" or "color" control somewhere which will affect
how the color is being translated out of NTSC or PAL and into
RGB.
