watching quicktime videos

Often, but not always, when I watch video made with Quicktime, the screen is
half green and really pixilated. I got the suggestion to download an
"upgrade for video cards," but I don't know where to find an upgrade that
would help with this problem.

You go to the Vendor's site for YOUR brand and model of
video display card and check for updates

That does, of course, mean you have to know the brand
and model of video display card you have installed
