Watch/Ignore

When I select Watch/Ignore for certain threads the thread's
text is shown in red but the newsgroup in the left pane isn't.
Is this normal? In Outlook Express the newsgroup with Watch/Ignore
threads was also in red making it easier.

My newsgroup in the Folder List turn red if there is an unread Watched
message.
 
My newsgroups aren't red. I need to mark the watched message as read and
mark
back to unread to cause the newsgroup to become red. But, this only last for
the
current session. When I close mail and reopen it the newsgroups return to
the default
color.

Are there any Watched threads with ynread messages? If not the newsgroup
will not be red.
 
I will keep my original post unread but read any subsequent posts.
