Does anyone know anything about washing machines?

Specifically Servis ones?

I need to increas water flow during wash its far to low I dont think it was calibrated properly. I know something controls the Solinoids but not sure where or how to adjust them. Probs a Varisistor somewhere ?

Perhaps one of these links might help tothrow some light on what you are looking for TD? HERE and HERE

Just as a "by the way," I expect you already know that if it's a fairly new machine, it will be designed to use less water for economy and energy-efficiency reasons. I have a machine which is only a year old, but the water-level doesn't rise above the glass port-hole for most wash loads (although it rises to about half-way up during rinse cycles.) It does its job very efficiently though. :thumb:

I think mine uses a pint of water ... well it seems like it. :D

Any reason you suspect the machine is faulty? Are the clothes dry when you take 'em out ?

The clothes just dont seem to wash properly at the moment. The machine is about 18months old now yeah it is economical however too much so.

How can clothes be washed in two inches of water. Or even more so Bedding? The center of the wash would never get clean properly. Just wanna add a couple more litres i think I dont do many washes a week probs 1 full wash a week at most as only me here so aint gonna make a vast difference at all.

I just dont feel comfortable not seeing a bit of water at least at bottom of the drum

I have never "seen" water at the bottom in my washing machine ... clothes do not need to be soaking wet in 10 gallons of water to get clean, they need agitation. Get a water meter, and pay for what you use, then you'll be thankful the machine is as economical as it should be. :D

Come on you're a bloke, what do you know about washing anyway? You are thinking, not a good thing for us fellas. ;)

It ain't broke, don't try and fix it. :thumb:

Mucks is right TD :thumb: As long as your laundry is coming out clean, the machine is doing it's job :thumb:

You could always nip down to the river with a bar of detergent, a washboard and two heavy round stones :D

Well "ours" broke last week along with the Fridge Freezer...good eh, the new one has a sports wash cycle...errrmmm will have to try better than that to get me using it.:)

Sprinkle a bit of washing up powder on the clothes and hang em out on the washing line for an enviroment friendly wash , let the rain do the washing .

:D
